Rooney: Igram najbolji nogomet u karijeri
Kada je u ljetnim mjesecima prijelaznog roka nogometaša Cristiano Ronaldo dres Manchester Uniteda zamijenio onim madridskog Reala mnogi su ustvrdili da će aktualni engleski nogometni prvak voditi tešku borbu u Premier ligi...



Činjenica jest da je United prodajom svog portugalskog napadača oslabio kadara, ali i da je u blagajnu stavio 94 milijuna eura. Jednako je točno da je Wayne Rooney "udahnuo" punim plućima i da je Ronaldov odlazak učinio gotovo neprimjetnim.

Nakon 25. odigranih kola Premiershipa "crveni vragovi" zaostaju za londonskim Chelseajem dva boda (58-56), što i ne predstavlja nenadoknadivu razliku. Inače, napadač Uniteda i engleske nogometne reprezentacije igra u zastrašujućoj formi, pa je ove sezone u 24 utakmice postigao već 21 gol čime je i uvjerljivo vodeći "topnik" lige.

Ubilježio je i četiri asistencije. - Mislim da igram najbolji nogomet u karijeri. Uživam u njemu, ali i u privatnom životu što se odražava na igru. Nadam se da ću ovako nastaviti do kraja sezone. - Broj pogodaka? Nisam si postavio neke ciljeve, samo želim postići zgoditak svaki puta kada sam na travnjaku. Uspijem li u tome super, ne uspijem li važno je samo da momčad pobijedi - kazao je Rooney.
